From 2015 to 2016，President Xi Jinping’s state visit to the UK opened a golden era in China-UK relations. Through several years’ strategic engagement，China and Britain agreed to raise their ties to a global comprehensive strategic partnership for the 21st century. This visit marks a fresh start of China-UK comprehensive cooperation，and offered a road map to the smooth development of bilateral friendly cooperation in the coming years. So this annual report on China-UK relations attempts to offer some analyses on the major fruits of bilateral relations as well as opportunities and challenges ahead in the Brexit context.
