Contemporary Swedish design has outstanding reputation in the international stage，which has been a vital representative of northern Europe design. The development of Swedish industrial design is closely related to its particular geographical location and natural environment，democratic social system and powerful support of the government. The establishment of Swedish Industrial Design Foundation （SVID） accelerates the developmental progression of Swedish Industrial Design and is working on making design as the power of country’s development and the powerful arm of enhancing competitiveness. While Swedish Design pursuing the access of products，it also mixes the user’s emotion，psychology and the real using requirement，and combines humanism and functionalism organically，injuring fresh energy into design of the new period.
