互联网2。0时代为新型产品设计与开发模式的产生提供了大量机会。现有的新型设计模式包括合作创新(co-creation)、大众智慧(collectiveintelligence)、开源(open-source)和开放式设计(opendesign)。在这些新型产品设计与开发模式中,开放式设计具备了最高度的项目开放性和大众参与性,因而成为最可能利用大众智慧进行新产品开发的模式。然而,目前利用开放式设计作为产品开发模式的项目存在大量问题。究其原因,是此类项目过度追求大众智慧所带来的利益,而忽略了大众参与的用户体验。为了克服现有开放式设计的弱点,本文提出了以大众为核心的开放式设计模式(Crowd-centricOpenDesign,CCOD)。CCOD与其他设计范式的不同之处在于:CCOD强调开源项目与开放式项目中的大众参与的用户体验。本文作者认为CCOD可以最大程度上提高开源项目或者开放式项目的大众参与度,从而更好地利用大众智慧,创造出更好的产品。
本文的第一部分提出了CCOD的定义并将其与开放式设计进行了比较。第二部分对如何设计CCOD项目和平台进行了阐述。第三部分讨论了CCOD的经济可行性和潜在商业模式。
<<The Web 2.0 age provides opportunities for new product design and development (PDD) paradigms. The new design paradigms can be classified as Co-Creation,Collective Intelligence,Design Crowdsourcing,Open Innovation,Open source and Open design. Among them,Open Design has a highest openness and crowd participation,and is able to make the best of crowd’s intelligence to develop new products. In order to overcome the weakness of existing Open Design projects,a new design paradigm is proposed-Crowd-centric Open Design. Crowd-centric Open Design differs from other design paradigms in that it has emphases on crowd design experiences in the Open Design projects. It is believed that Crowd-centric Open Design can motivate crowd to participate in Open Design projects,leading to better design outcomes and increase online design awareness.
In the first part of the paper,Crowd-centric Open Design is defined and compared with Open Design. Second part explains how to design a Crowd-centric Open Design project and how to design a Crowd-centric Open Design platform. In the third part,the financial feasibility and potential business models of Crowd-centric Open Design are proposed.
