In recent years，China’s assistance to the Pacific Island Countries increased rapidly. The assistance from China is provided without political conditions，and is in line with the local conditions of the assisted countries. China takes positive measures to help Pacific Island Countries to improve infrastructure and public facilities，and enhanced cooperation in areas of fishery，husbandry，tourism，medical care，education and culture. China strives to provide the technology that the island countries are in need，and provide increased training opportunities to citizens of island countries. The assistance led to fruitful results，and is welcomed by the people in the island countries. This article analyzes the status quo of the assistance，and puts forward policy suggestions to China’s assistance to island countries.
