The Safe Food for Canadians Act came into effect in 2015. To ensure the effective implementation of this law，the CFIA，under the guidance of Safe Food for Canadians Action Plan and Healthy and Safe Food for Canadians Framework，has made many efforts in drafting and amending implementation regulations，and facilitating the participation of food industry，consumers as well as nongovernmental organizations. In implementing the Food Safety Law of China which took effect on October 1，2015，China may draw on the CFIA’s work in the area of food safety.
