青年参与志愿服务动机主要表现为以责任为特征的传统动机、以发展为特征的现代特征、以快乐为特征的后现代特征，广州、香港、澳门三地青年参与志愿服务更多表现为责任型的利他参与动机，但三地青年参与动机的具体选择各有侧重，并且不同青年群体的参与动机各有特征。
<<Motivations to participate in youth voluntary service mainly are based on responsibility （traditional），development （modern） and happiness （post-modern）. Motivations of responsibility and altruism are more common in the three regions. But emphasis of specific motivations is different. And participation motivations of youths have respective features.
