Education is important to the development of the country and society，which is a problem that cannot be neglected. With the development of our economy and the process of modernization，it is necessary to reform the education system. Everything related to education will raise the concern from the media and public. According to the selected 376 hot education-related public events occurred from 2013 to 2015，the Public Opinion Research Laboratory of Shanghai Jiaotong University conducted a systematic analysis. It was found that the hottest education-related public events happened in the second quarter of 2015，while the frequency of hot events in East China was higher than those in North China and Western China，the main subject of educational public opinion was students，which have replaced the educational executive departments in the last year. Public opinion towards teachers and students’ personal words and deeds was still the most important opinion type. New media were the main first-exposure media of education problems. Half of the public opinion related to education happened in higher education stage，with the junior high school events increased but those about high school，primary school，and preschool decreased. The attention of family education was still on a relatively lower level.
