Since the very fast development of the world economy globalization and High-Technology revolution，cities are having a rising role in the world economy with its increasing economy agglomerating and driving ability，and becoming very important leading carriers in the development of an area，even a country. Guangzhou，as a National Central City and a comprehensive gateway city，needs to enhance the international competitiveness and improve its role in the competition of global cites. This research establishes a comprehensive index system of urban international competitiveness，summarizes the level of urban internationalization of Guangzhou empirically，and finally gives advices on how to upgrade Guangzhou’s urban international competitiveness.
