Using “Citizens’ well-being Index Questionnaire” to investigate the well-being index and its relationship with marital status of 319 Changzhou urban residents. Results showed：the general level of Changzhou Urban residents’ well-being index was above the average；for the general well-being index and living environment satisfaction，significant difference was found between male and female of Changzhou urban residents；significant difference was also found among those Changzhou urban residents with different marital status in several aspects，like the general well-being index，environment life satisfaction，financial life satisfaction，political life satisfaction，culture life satisfaction and health condition satisfaction.
