To enhance science popularization’s communication ability effectively and promote science popularization bases’ functions in Beijing，based on a thorough investigation of Beijing science popularization bases’ status quo，this paper gives a full analysis on the communication ability of four kinds of bases respectively including education bases，media bases，training bases and R&D bases. The results show that：with the development of Beijing science popularization bases，they play an important role in science communication，while still have some problems，including lacking of diverse funding，uneven development，deficiency of educational functions，insufficiency of science popularization personnel，imbalance of funding between infrastructure and science popular writing，and weakness in propaganda. To solve these problems，this paper gives some advice to enhance the communication ability.
