Guangzhou was approved to be the national tourism comprehensive reform pilot city in 2014，the tourism industry had entered a new golden developing period and faced with unprecedented opportunities. The research summarized the experiences of domestic outstanding tourist cities，and then proposed the corresponding suggestions to accelerate the reform and innovation of tourism management mechanism and system in order to improve the transformation and upgrading of tourism development，with the consideration of urban and regional characteristics in Guangzhou.
