The traditional village is an important cultural heritage，traditional villages in Luoyang increase year after year，and the model of protection and development is in innovation. However，with the continuous progress of urbanization，many ancient buildings of great value are gradually losing their original style，thereby survival of traditional villages are challenged increasingly. Focusing on “Living Protection” of traditional villages，this paper raises corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on the protection and development of traditional villages in Luoyang in terms of ideas，policies，mechanisms，management，innovation and others.
