Ecological security is an important component of urban security. As Henan Province is in stride into modern urban society from traditional rural society，urban ecological security problems，take haze and water pollution as typical example，has taken most attention. Starting with discrimination of the concept and connotation of urban ecological security，a deep study is taken to understand the main aspects that should be focused on. Then a systematic analysis is conducted to realize the urban ecological securitystatus in quo，as well as the outstanding problems it is faced with. At last，some countermeasures are proposed to improve urban ecological security in Henan Province.
