The city subject consciousness of the rural transferring population including participation，the democratic and legal system consciousness，rights and responsibility consciousness，etc. To cultivate the city subject consciousness is of important value. It can improve the whole quality of the rural transferring population，inspire their master consciousness and promote their city integration. By analyzing the current situation of the city subject consciousness of the rural transferring population. It is found their self-identification is too low. They lack of consciousness of their own city subject status. At the same time，their responsibility consciousness is not strong and participation is not enough. Finally the feasible paths are proposed to cultivate the city subject consciousness of the rural transferring population. They are，first，to promote the development of urban and rural cultural integration with the multivariate tolerance strategy；secondly，to build a social support network through education and social work services of increasing the power；thirdly，to establish the autonomous organizations of the rural transferring population，using the power of the collective to express and consult their own interests；at last，to keep continuous learning and actively integrate with city life.
