In 2015，the 42nd session of the World Expo was held in Milan，Italy. Both from the perspective of Italy that is striving to achieve economic recovery and from China side that is trying to further expand the opening policy and to strengthen China-Italy and China-Europe economic relations，the Milan Expo has great significance. This paper，taking the Milan Expo as the starting point，focuses on the latest development of China-Italy economic cooperation in the past two years. The analysis shows that the recent China-Italy economic cooperation presents vigorous development. Especially，the Chinese outward investment in Italy continues to grow rapidly，which becomes a new trend and the most impressive highlights in current China-Italy economic cooperation. Overall，apart from the rapid increase of the amount of China’s investment in Italy，its depth and breadth is as well expanding rapidly，which makes China’s investment in Italy entering a new stage of comprehensive enhancement in both quantity and quality. In the context of the positive development of the bilateral relations in the past years，China-Italy economic cooperation in the coming years is expected to maintain the momentum and at the same time，Chinese outward investment in Italy will have more room for continuous growth.
