In 2015 China and the European Union celebrated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relationship. And it is also the first year when the two partners launched their efforts to consolidate the four major partnerships for peace，growth，reform and civilization. In 2015，China and the EU jointly carried out effective actions in constructing global governance institutions，solving regional conflicts，strengthening cooperation in production capacity and finance，deepening investment and trade relationships，facilitating personal and cultural exchanges and tackling climate change. The China-EU relationships will progress further on a more equal footing.
