Since 2000, the trend of economic globalization has accelerated. As the main way of international capital flows, foreign direct investment is realized by the Multi-National Corporation as the main body. In recent years, foreign direct investment has become one of the important means to promote the rapid growth of emerging economies. With the gradual improvement of the political situation, macroeconomic and institutional business environment, the attraction of the African continent to foreign investment is significantly enhanced. The scale of foreign capital inflow in Africa showed a significant growth trend, the importance of foreign investment in Africa's economic development is increasing. At present, the role of foreign investment in Africa's capital formation, institutional change, foreign trade, technology progress and sustainable development are positive and negative effects. In the future the pros and cons should be weighed to improve African host of foreign capital absorption capacity, better under the background of globalization by making use of foreign capital to realize economic development. First of all, this paper discusses Africa in recent years foreign capital inflow of new features, and then analyzes the influence from African foreign capital inflows added on the economic development of the host country, what finally to evaluate is: can Africa in globalization by attracting foreign investment to achieve economic development.
