2014年，海南城乡文化消费总量增长处于第12位，人均值增长处于第12位。海南城乡文化消费需求景气评价排行结果：在省域横向测评中，2014年景气指数处于第15位；在自身纵向测评中，1994～2014年景气指数处于第17位，1999～2014年景气指数处于第12位，2004～2014年景气指数处于第8位，2009～2014年景气指数处于第17位，2013～2014年景气指数处于第10位。
<<In 2014，Hainan ranked the 12th in the increase of the total cultural consumption in urban and rural areas and the 12th in the growth of per capita value. The Rankings of the status evaluation are as follows：in the lateral evaluation among various provinces，Hainan ranked the 15th in 2014；in vertical evaluation itself，Hainan ranked the 17th，12th，8th，17th and 10th during the periods of 1994-2014，1999-2014，2004-2014，2009-2014 and 2013-2014 respectively.
