Taking the community working practice as example that I YOU SHE has done in Courtyard No.67，Shuijingfang Street，the article is written and summarized with mainline of motivating residents to participate. In the beginning of 2012，thanks to governments’ purchasing services，I YOU SHE took part in governing work of Courtyard No.67 in Jiaochangba Community. It has been 4 years since then.

During four years’ work，there were plenty of living materials，all of which were unable to be written in，while in different stages，I YOU SHE would change her working patterns and approaches from residents’ varied needs and different situations of courtyards. However，to motivate residents to participate and stimulate the vitality of community has always been the mainline that never changed.

The article tries to take Courtyard No.67 as a case and write from the perspective of how social organizations motivate residents to participate into community governance. From courtyard election—mobilize participation by election，to courtyard construction—mobilize residents participate in public profits and problems by participatory meeting methods，then cultivate inner energy of courtyard—create space and conditions for participation.

Up to now，through four years’ practice，residents’ participating capacity，aspiration，depth and width have changed prominently. They have stronger sense of belonging to the courtyard. Now artists get involved in and add more diverse and humanistic color to courtyard governance. In this process，how social organizations interact with government，community residents committee and community residents，what role social organizations play in different stages，the article will explain.
