As one of the first to pilot the pension model that integrates medical insurance and pension，Hefei has accumulated successful experiences，and formulated a Hefei Model of pension featuring the integration of medical insurance and pension. Policy support from the city government has particularly guaranteed the further exploration of the integrative Hefei Model of pension. Investigation and research on the current status of Hefei’s integration of medical insurance and pension reveals that the integrative Hefei Model of pension still has its inadequacies compared with developed regions. The major problems include lack of innovation in system design，confusing supervision in management，and obstacles in the implementation of medical insurance policies. Thus，establishing a scientific and rational pension and evaluation system featuring the integration of medical insurance and pension，exploring an interactive mechanism involving multiple subjects to share and guarantee resources，and improving top-level design for medical reform will become major paths to consolidate Hefei’s integrative pension model.
