Since 2004, China has held six "Green Building Congress" to promote green building development. After the release of Technical Rules and Regulations for Green Building Evaluation and Identity Management Approaches for Green Building Evaluation, the Chinese government carried out two kinds incentive to promote the green building by Green Building Innovation Award and Green Building Identities. In 2011, 16 projects received the Green Building Innovation Award, and 241 projects are passed the green building evaluation identity, more than the sum of the previous three years. In the "12th Five-Year" period, China will further improve the green building standards and evaluation identification system, establish a green building fiscal policy incentives, promote green ecological city construction and large-scale development of green building, guide the development of affordable housing and public service sectors to develop green building first, make green building benefit people's livelihood, promote green building scientific and technological progress and industrial development, and strengthen the comprehensive capacity-building of green building. <<
