养老金制度的产生和发展一直与社会阶层及其利益有着紧密的联系。社会阶层的变迁影响着我国养老金制度变革的历程，而养老金制度也制约着社会阶层的分化。研究发现，在我国社会结构变迁过程中，随着社会阶层的不断分化，我国的养老金制度也在不断地分立、分化，逐步由过去单一整合的制度演化为目前分立、分割的制度，而这种分割的制度也促使了社会阶层的进一步分化。
<<The emergence and development of pension system has been closely linked to social stratum and their interests. The changes of social stratum are drastically affecting the reform process of pension system in our country，and at the same time，the pension system also restricts differentiated of the social stratum. The study found that in the process of social structure changes，with the continuous differentiation of social stratum，the past integrated pension system has been divided，differentiated，gradually evolved into the discrete system，and the discrete system prompted further differentiation of social stratum.
