In the process of modernization and urbanization，rural society of China has been undergoing tremendous changes，accompanied by large numbers of land disputes with complex relations in which more and more interests such as local governments，village cadres and individual villagers are involved. Through the case study of a forcible demolition event，this paper describes and explores the operational logics of command society，rural community and their relationship；it shows that local government operates through building up the seemingly “legitimacy”，together with the “power” of village cadres，to exert certain influences on rural governance，which also in turn stimulates a rebound of rural society and brings the re-realization of rural community.
