For the researchers who aspire to do some research on changes of indigenous social psychology and behavior，the current social transition period provides a valuable opportunity；the changes of Chinese public-private view and its related practice provides an excellent pointcut；cultural psychology provides a perspective which is more appropriate due to its emphasis and focus on the mutual constitution of culture and psychology. From the perspective of cultural psychology，this paper distinguishes between the two kinds of public-private view—“public-private view as cultural element” and “public-private view as psychological element”，which are constituted mutually，based on the framework of “mutual construction” espoused by cultural psychology. On such a basis，in the light of the fact that the former public-private view is objective，mandatory and universal relative to the latter public-private view，this article first focuses on “public-private view as cultural element”，and theoretically analyzes its generative logic，structure，historical heritage，and attempt to construct a theoretical model for the formation and change of public-private view，and then focuses on “public-private view as psychological element”，and preparatorily explores how to carry out the research on “the change of public-private view in the practice of public-private view” and “the practice of public-private against the change of public-private view”.
