This paper analyzed some well-known university-based think tanks in the US based on their undergraduate- and graduate-level programs. As a result，the author identified certain features of “Knowledge Production Model II” in these programs，such as the characteristics of inter-discipline，student involvement in think tanks’ scholarly events，students’ equal participation and self-reflection in academic exchanges，civil engagement and social responsibility required in variety of students’ activities and organizations. It is also found that think tank talents training on the US campuses is an integrated platform as part of general education endeavors.
