China's road traffic environment has been significantly improved, but the number of road traffic accidents and road traffic accidents casualties is still high. In this paper, the present situation of the development of Chinese automobile industry's safety and trend is discussed. It is pointed out that China should continue to establish and improve the vehicle safety standards and regulations system, C-NCAP, promote the development and application of vehicle passive safety technology and active safety technology, to meet the needs of consumers to improve the safety of automobile products requirements. It is pointed out that future automotive safety technology will present passive safety technology and active safety technology integration trend, from different stages: before the collision, collision and post collision together to enhance the level of automotive safety technology. <<
