Today’s traditional media coexist with new media，such as internet，cell phone，and mobile terminals，and we have entered an omnimedia time which puts forwards higher requirements for pubic library service. As a way of knowledge dissemination，library lectures has been fully affirmed and accepted by all areas of society and become the best choice for readers to improve themselves，enrich their lives and further their education. In order to better service the readers，the “Yangtze-Rive Lecture” in Hubei Provincial Library provides us with experience on how to exert the strength and better play the role of lectures in public library.
