Huanbmei Opera derives from Huangmei melody and tea-picking opera which originate in Hangmen county，Hubei Province，and it is one of the five main operas in China. Hangmei opera has fresh and melodious aria，vivid and delicate performance，rich flavor of life and lyric folk style. With extremely important historical and cultural value，Hangmei opera is included in the first batch of national-level intangible cultural heritage. As the development of social economy，people’s cultural life become increasingly diversified and Hangmei opera is facing the dual pressure of both survival and development. How to seek new opportunities and break bottlenecks and how to find a more suitable development path for Hangmei opera became a serious issue that placed in front of us. This paper analyzes the current situation of Hangmei opera and proposes several thoughts and suggestions.
