This paper aims at providing a set of strategies which help transform China’s current urban transportation system into one adaptive to aging society，or Transportation for Seniors. A literature search was undertaken from CNKI and Google Scholar. The paper firstly summarized and analyzed travel patterns of Chinese elderly people；then identified the problems and challenges of the current transportation system from three levels-community，urban and regional；lastly，case studies from other countries were undertaken and strategies for developing community，urban and regional transportation for seniors were proposed. <<
