Persons with disabilities in China have been facing the difficulty in finding a getting married is an important issue for the persons with a disability which they have been faced with for a long time. According to Investigation on the Current Situation and Countermeasure of the Marriage and Family of Chinese persons with a disability in 2007，the degree of education affects the stability and quality of the marriage of persons with a disability. Moreover，as the physiological and psychological differences existing in different categories of disabilities are great and individual growth environment is also different，the problems they are faced with in their love and marriage are not the same as well. In China，the thought of “men are superior to women” is still ingrained. In this case，women with a disability are faced with double discrimination in the mainstream marriage concept. Despite their gender experience is usually covered up by the disability experience，many studies have shown that gender makes a great impact on the life of persons with a disability. Based on the author’s own experience with low vision and combined with the hot topic of “elder women”，I select ten single women with low vision and high education which is bachelor degree or above in the group of persons with low vision. By means of focus group and case interview，starting from inner conflict，emotional needs and urgent reality，I briefly analyze the psychological characteristics of single women with low vision in the forming process of their love and marriage concept and explore their psychological predicament they are faced with，so as to make a contribution to a further expansion of the marriage problem of women with low vision.
