People of the Korean Peninsula began to interact with Muslims in the ninth century.The more attention international community paid to the Islam issue in the contemporary era,the economic and political relationships became closer between the Republic of Korea and Islamic states,the Muslims lived in the South Korea became a target of research field.The Muslims of the Korean Peninsula was formed by foreign muslims that took business trip through China and settled in the Korean Peninsula in history.The Muslims had no awareness of localization throughout,though the great growth of the Muslims benefited from the advance of social status in the Yuan dynasty.Supported from foreign Islamic countries,the number of the Korean Muslims with local features grew up on a large scale to truly shape the image of the group.Thus the Korean Muslims played a crucial role in state-building and showed its highest potential to interact with other communities inside and outside the Korean Peninsula.
