Ligu(1536-1584) is a representative figure of mid-term Neo-Confucianism in Korea,and together with Tuixi(1501-1570) is regarded as one of the two most outstanding scholars in this field. The general meanings and framework of Ligu’s Neo-Confucianism originate from ZhuXi’s Neo-Confucianism,but at the same time contain something different from ZhuXi’s philosophy. This article attempts to discover the differences between the two schools from the perspectives of “The goodness of Li and Qi”,“The Unobstructed Li and the Narrow Qi”,“The Heart of Man Goes Hand in Hand with the Heart of the Way”. The article attempts to analyze and reveal the differences between Chinese and Korean humanistic connotations,so that a better understanding of the two nation’s humanistic connotations can be achieved and contributions can be made to strengthen the cultural exchanges of the two countries.
