In recent years，the new-typed urbanization in Sichuan has achieved initial success，but also there are many difficulties and contradictions. Currently，Sichuan urbanization has been in a critical period of transformation and deve1opment，both opportunities and challenges exist. Therefore，rapid and healthy development of the new urbanization should be based on scientific planning and leading，optimizing the layout of urban space，strengthening urban industry support，enhancing urban comprehensive carrying capacity，promoting the innovation of urban management system，improving the urbanization development mechanism.
