With the change of market environment，the industrial economic growth of Sichuan province has continued to slow down，the industrial development has entered a period of transformation and upgrading. Sichuan insists on the innovation-driven strategy，the implementation of major technical equipment “3+9” project，start to develop whole machine，to strengthen supporting，to enhanc integration，to seize the high-end，promote the development of the three major equipment manufacturing base and nine key chain products. In this paper，the development situation of Sichuan machinery and equipment manufacturing industry in the 2014 year，the development characteristics and problems are analyzed，and the policy suggestions for the development of the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry in Sichuan are put forward.
