Based on straightening up the process of concept of Chinese featured new think tank proposed from 2012，this article point out that a raised awareness of the role and status of think tanks has been formed within the Central Committee of the CPC，which means that the construction of think tanks has moved forward to institutional positioning and status from the mechanical ones and Chinese featured new think tanks are not the same as think tanks in Russia，America as well as China’s traditional ones. In this view，the paper takes Shunde’s Advisory Committee as example to further point out reform practices and deficiencies in the field of think tank. Finally，the author suggested that Shunde should enhance think tanks’ status，guarantee their funds，optimize their membership structure and streamline their size when start to re-explore the localized experience of nurturing new think tanks with Chinese features.
