The new Environmental Protection Law is about to take effect. Financial regulators and institutions will both see changes in the financial ecosystem. For companies，the new Environmental Protection Law will change their operating rules and conditions in terms of environmental protection and lead to new operating risks，and thus influence the financial ecosystem and change of risks. Such risks will evolve into systemic ones and threaten the operating safety of financial systems and institutions without effective control from financial regulators. Under such circumstances，building legal，institutional，responsibility and institution management systems for preventing and controlling environmental risks in the financial sector and developing non-governmental，independent，third-party organizations will become important tasks for financial regulators and institutions in the foreseeable future.
