新媒体环境传播强化了环境传播领域信息传递、信息监督、社会协调和遗产继承的功能。典型环境事件所折射出来的环境传播现状和问题说明,新媒体语境下环境传播的话语权利、表达路径、媒介生态等已发生结构性变化。在这一情景下,媒体环境传播要提升效能,必须依次担负起三项责任:利用新媒体发挥媒体在环境事件、环境问题传播中的信息沟通、舆论监督、社会抚慰职责;在“培育健康伦理观念”中对内日常社会动员和公共教育,对外改善环境形象的职责;在建构环境“社会共同体”中充当社会驱动力量,发挥沟通协调、整合社会的作用。
