Telemedicine has been experienced a long period of development in our country，with many rather useful exploration in some regions. As the telemedicine policies being intensively published and the development of mobile Internet technology，the telemedicine industry in China will enter a new stage. More attention must be paid for on related fields from social concern. This paper reviews the history and current situation of the telemedicine. On this basis，there are four business model characteristics of remote medical industry summarized. These can be provided for the telemedicine industry researchers and practitioners，and then the “CHIP board” will be completed on these analyses，to provide some reference for those concerning this area.
