This paper studies the main development course of China’s smart elderly care service industry，sums the current situation and problem of the industry，meanwhile，analyzes the development prospect of the industry. Elderly care service industry in China started late，the development time is shorter，and the development of smart elderly care service industry is especially hysteretic. In the author’s opinion，China faces the problems of both rapid population ageing and insufficient human resources. Depending on the Internet of things and the smart elderly care service system of information technology and its products will become a powerful way in dealing with the population challenge. The smart elderly care service industry will have broad space for development in the future.
