The rapid developing private enterprises need a lot of urban new-generation migrants, while China's population structure has undergone a major change, young people which used to be unlimited supplied becomes relatively scarce. The bargaining power of urban new-generation migrants enhanced. Human capital is still the key to the further development of urban new-generation migrants. Using our 2012 and 2013 survey data, we find that the family background of urban new-generation migrants have not much effect on their wages.Education, training and work experience play an important role on the wages.
