Although Pingxiang has made outstanding achievements in the new urbanization construction，the large proportion of traditional industry in the industry mix，the primary industry specialization and the marginalization of regional policy are major obstacles to the in-depth development of new urbanization construction. Experimental area of Jiangxi-Hunan opening and cooperation will be a new impetus to promote the construction of new urbanization in Pingxiang.
