This paper analyzes the present situation and problems of the urbanization in Jingmen. And then，on the basis of a clear development ideas and goals，the paper try to give some suggestions for new-tpye urbanization in Jingmen. such as optimizing the layout and the form of urbanization，strengthening the support of transportation system，enhancing the efficiency of land comprehensive utilization and improving the public services level and so on.
