“The development planning of Changjiang Middle Reaches Urban Agglomeration” is the first urban agglomeration Planning of China which after “National New-type Urbanization Plan”. New-type urbanization is one of the important themes in the construction of Changjiang Middle Reaches Urban Agglomeration. This paper summarize the current status and characteristics of new-type urbanization about Changjiang Middle Reaches Urban Agglomeration from five aspects，which include regional situation，space，urban，industry and development mode. Then，Based on the analysis of the problem，We put forward the development orientation，goals and strategic focus. At last，We proposed the implementation path of new-type urbanization from seven aspects.
