In recent years some issues of rural education became more and more obvious such as the education of the migrant workers' children who stay at their hometown, traffic safety hazards and student dropouts mostly caused by excessive closures of rural schools. And those problems arouse great concern of governments and society to the rural students' living and learning. A large-scale survey of Chinese rural primary and middle schools conducted by 21 st Century Education Research Institute reported the fundamental situations of rural students' learning life from primary and middle school separately, and built up statistical models to explore the influencing factors of above-mentioned students' academic performance.
