A highly effective implementation of preventing and controlling air pollution was found based on analysis of meteorological condition of air pollutant diffusion during APEC meeting in Beijing in 2014. Facts proved that the right approach to control air pollution in Jing-Jin-Ji region is to establish the mechanism of joint operation in reducing air pollutant emission when the meteorological condition of serious air pollution is coming，to strengthen local emergency measures of air pollutant emission control，and to develop early warning methodology of the air pollution potential.
