The thesis analyzed the representation of Chinese women in The New York Times. This study found that the images of Chinese women hover between"goodness" and "evil",and the newspaper showed different attitudes and emotional tendencies toward different women.These images reflect the ideology of Orientalization and racism in the mainstream American culture.The New York Times regards the Chinese women as the"her" of the United States. <<
