War and communication are closely linked.Studies on it can be dated back to the World war II,and thrives after the Gulf War,which also leads to the emergence of related studies in China. Although war report has become an important competing area for different forms of media, communication at war remains comparatively marginalized in communication studies, let alone the studies from a female perspective. This thesis provides a case study of women war reporters of Phoenix Television, analyzing their reporting styles as well as their roles in the practice of war report. It is hoped that the thesis may provide a new perspective to military communication and promote the understandings of women war correspondents among media administrators and the public.
