While the Net media changed the global scene,it changed women's work and life. As a technology and instrument,Net media may be gender neutral. But, who have more chance to use network? How to use network? Whether or not to participate in the development of the related technologies? How to play a role in a decision-making of the net media? These may not be gender-neutral. The gender differences on access to or use ICT,including net media, always were referred to as digital gender gap. If the awareness of gender equality is put into all relevant laws, policies and projects, the spread and use of ICT will help to bridge the digital gender gap, otherwise, it is likely to widen the digital gender gap. As our information age is blooming,to narrow the digital gender gap becomes more significant. In this paper,we point out the opportunities and challenges brought by net media for women's development by analyzing the data of the Third Wave Survey of Status of Chinese Women, and therefore put forward specific proposals for filling the digital gender gap.
