<<>This paper reviews the operational way of Hukou System and the process of its reform. By discussion of the role playing on management of rural-urban migration，this paper points out the importance of Hukou system to keep dual social structure. Meanwhile，the paper also reviews the major measures of reforming the system and proposes the possible solution to the problems faced with current China.
