WeChat has become an indispensable part of life among college students in instant communication，information collection and social activities. Therefore，college students have their own obvious characteristics in using WeChat.This study takes Beijing university students as the research object，especially making sure the research looks more scientific and serious. In the perspective of gender，we try to understand their basic usage behavior，how to contact others，as well as the influence of WeChat for college students. We also analyze habits between boys and girls and their roles in WeChat to find something more creatively. The data show that WeChat is highly used among college students but the students often use it in fragmentary. The habits of browsing WeChat about girls are more diverse，but the role of WeChat is relatively low-key. The Source of friends are obviously from the acquaintance circle，but they have different attitudes towards the strangers. The male students pay attention to online relationship maintenance but tend to choose less instant contact ways of participation. Wechat plays an important role in their life，but it also makes college students feel confused. Girls are more addicted in WeChat，but they have negative attitude to the stranger in interpersonal relationship development. <<
